We are very excited to be welcoming Robert Zietal as our new Machine Learning Engineer, he is brining extraordinary skills and experience to the team! With a PhD in Theoretical Physics in the field of Quantum Electrodynamics, Robert is now in a unique cross-disciplinary role that combines biology, engineering and artificial intelligence.

When asked about what interests him about this new career move he had this to say:

“Working in the research sector is always interesting, never a dull moment when pushing the boundaries of innovation. However, when you create a research Molotov cocktail from Agriculture/IoT/Sensing/Entomology you’re in for a real intellectual treat! Explosive creativity is what it takes to drive cross-disciplinary projects like this. Now that’s interesting!”

Now living in sunny South East Queensland, Robert is originally from the stunningly beautiful Jelenia Gora – one of the oldest towns in Poland. First settlements existed as early as 10th Century and the town survived destruction of the second world war.

Being a foodie, Robert enjoys cooking up a storm to help fuel his other great passion – cycling. A 100km ride on a Sunday makes for a monster appetite! As well as cooking and cycling Robert is also passionate about music, he plays guitar and a huge fan of the legendary Steve Vai.

Welcome to the team Robert – Lets Rock!
